INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION ON THE HEMUS DEFENSE TECHNIQUE

By a decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria in 1995, a Specialized International Exhibition for Defense Equipment “HEMUS” was established, which is held once every two years, in the last week of May, at the International Fair Plovdiv.

The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy.

The HEMUS – 95 Foundation, with the principle of the Minister of Defense, is committed to financing and organizing the exhibition.

Over the period of its existence, the exhibition has pursued and achieved its primary objective, namely to stimulate the development of the defense industry, giving manufacturers and traders the opportunity to present weapons and military equipment, as well as the whole range of defense products. Creates opportunities for cooperative production, repair activities and joint scientific and technical development of new defense and security products.

Since 2011. the conception of the exhibition was expanded and enriched in three directions: “DEFENSE, ANTITERORISM AND SECURITY”. Particular attention is paid to innovation, research and development, with the organization of scientific conferences, demonstration and test shoots, science presentation and higher education institutions.
